
Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986, Mercy is one of the largest U.S. health systems that includes 44 acute care and specialty (heart, children's, orthopedic and rehab) hospitals, more than 800 physician practices and outpatient facilities, 40,000 co-workers and more than 2,100 Mercy Clinic physicians in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. Additionally, it also has outreach ministries in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas serving a variety of special needs, particularly for low-income patients.
