aimentia
Aimentia provides AI-powered solutions for mental health professionals and their patients. It has developed a virtual clinic, where clinical intervention tools are combined with analytical modules that aid in the therapeutic decision-making of the professional. That information is later processed using a proprietary programming language and a pioneer trans-diagnostic approach in order to have a working AI at an early stage. This enables mental health professionals to automate their workflow, receive alarms based on triggers to detect vulnerable profiles and see insights about their patients in real-time using aggregated data.

Highlights โญ
- Solving the real need: While he was studying, one of the company's founders Edgar Jorba, worked in the Department of Innovation of the Psychology Service of a medical center in Barcelona only to realize that professionals lack modern tools with which to help patients more and better. And so he co-founded Aimentia to tackle this issue.
- The company on a mission: Aimentia aims to support every institution, association, individual or collective whose main goal is to build a future where mental health is a health fundamental core. ๐
- Big addressable market: It is estimated that 1 in 4 people suffer from mental health problems, half of the patients are misdiagnosed, 74% of affected people not receiving treatment, while 86% of mental health professionals reporting a lack of digital tools.
- Propriatery technology: Which comes in the form of a programming language based on both symptoms and non-clinical patterns that makes anonymous comparisons between profiles, makes suggestions about possible diagnoses or treatments, and allows personalized therapies. In short, it is a "virtual assistant" for professionals in psychology, psychiatry and neurology, which in parallel also offers a clinic for patients. As a result, it can help doctors be more accurate, considering that "50% of patients are misdiagnosed or mistreated." ๐
