Caspar Health dubs itself to be the first interdisciplinary digital rehabilitation platform, designed to increase patient-doctor engagement and democratize personalized treatment plans. It allows doctors to assign customizable therapy treatment plans to patients following an injury, surgery or another medical event, which patients can then access using an app on their mobile device. To use the system, a doctor or therapist logs onto the platform and assigns specific treatments or therapies; from there, Caspar automatically generates a treatment plan for the patient that can further be customized to meet the patient's needs. The platform comes with a number of preloaded treatment plans, offering everything from instructional videos (e.g. physical therapy/exercises, tutorials on how to use crutches, etc.), to information on the illness or injury itself. Caspar Health is sold as an enterprise software-as-a-service subscription, where facilities pay a monthly subscription fee as well as a fee per patient. It is available in English, German, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Quotes 💬

Due to the shortage of specialists as well as time and location constraints, aftercare is often challenging. Thanks to Caspar Health's digital platform, patients who live in poorly structured regions or have limited mobility can also be cared for efficiently and closely at home.
Professor Michael Jöbges, MD, Medical Director of the Schmieder Hospital Group 🔗
Caspar is one of the most impressive business models we have seen in the HealthTech landscape largely because of the excellent feedback from hospitals and patients alike. In addition to above-average growth, we were convinced by the effectiveness of the digital rehabilitation programmes.
