Dermatoo
Dermatoo offers medical solutions designed to facilitate the monitoring of patients and healthcare professionals' interventions, thanks to the advanced sharing of medical observations. Initiated by Belgian IT product development company and startup studio IoT-D, the project enables the management of complex and/or chronic wounds for hospitals in order to monitor and evaluate the follow-up of the patients' condition remotely through an application for professionals and a connected medical imaging device.

Highlights ⭐
- Solving the real problem: It is estimated that 2% of the population is affected by long-lasting wounds and requiring regular care. The most frequent cases are diabetics, but they are not the only ones. In some of the most serious cases, the wounds take years to heal completely.
- Useful tech: Dermatoo's goals go beyond optimizing the administrative costs of care, to also help enhance the relationship between patient and professionals by "suppressing time-consuming tasks and putting patients at the centre of medical attention."
- Startup expertise: IoT-D is a startup studio in Belgium and this isn't their first venture. They have what it takes to launch a new company and make it profitable.
- Eye on Europe: Although they don't explicitly say it, when you start in Belgium - you aim to expand across Europe, starting with its biggest markets - France and Germany.
