hi.health offers an app that provides users with 21st-century private healthcare claims submissions. This means that users can have their health expenses submitted to nearly every private health insurance firm in Germany in a complete and total digital format. The app uses AI-based character recognition technology to extract data from images of receipts automatically, populates insurance claim forms and submits them — and then allows users to track the progress of their claims. No more copies of copies, envelopes, stamps, and hoping things all arrived. hi.health has also launched Europe's first digital health expense account, offering users immediate reimbursement costs - thus stopping the cash-flow gap.

  • Media love: hi.health has been featured in such publications as Tech.eu, Computer Bild, Business Insider, Handelsblatt, and PharmaPhorum.
  • Streamlines reimbursements: Instead of dealing with insurance companies and their often archaic claim submission processes, hi.health provides users with an app that lets them submit claims much faster from their phones and tablets.
  • Beyond end users: The company also offers solutions for e-commerce and insurance companies, enabling them to better serve their customers by eliminating bureaucratic hurdles.
  • Founders with a track record: Fredrik was one of the founders of mySugr.com, which was acquired by Roche in 2017. On the other hand, Sebastian stems from McKinsey.
  • Huge market: In Germany alone, 26.8 million people have some form of supplementary insurance, for example covering hospital stays or dentures, and those are the people hi.health is targeting.
