A spin-out from Oxford University's Department of Engineering, Oxehealth's technology can measure pulse & breathing rate and human activity & behavior using proprietary algorithms that harness deep learning, computer vision and signal processing techniques. In other words, Oxehealth enables a secure optical sensor to measure vital signs from right across a room. The company's Digital Care Assistant is paying attention to every room when carers can't be there. Available as a Software as a Service, the solution generates the alerts and reports clinicians, carers and custodians need — seamlessly slotted into their existing workflow. As such, it is already helping staff in mental health, police, care home, prison, acute hospital and home care settings. For seniors, the technology can also help reduce the risk of falls and prevent serious incidents. Oxehealth is part-owned by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust .
Select partners: John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital, Broadmoor Psychiatric Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital, Oxford Health, Essex Partnership University, South London and Maudsley, The Close Care Home.

Quotes πŸ’¬

I like the alerts when a patient is on the edge [of their bed]... Staff are able to attend and prevent a fall from happening.
Nurse, Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust
I couldn't imagine not having the system now in place. It's something that makes us feel more secure and we feel it sets up safety for the patients.
